In May 2025, the Megmilk Snow Brand Group commemorated the 100th anniversary of our founding and took our first step towards the next 100 years. 2026 will be an extremely important year in which we ensure our ability to achieve dynamic growth by further refining our Group\u2019s growth strategy and accelerate our efforts.<\/p>

Looking at the current economic environment, the economy saw a mild recovery driven by factors such as last year\u2019s improved corporate earnings and increased inbound demand. Looking ahead, employment and wages are showing signs of improvement and the various policies being implemented by the government are expected to have a positive impact. On the other hand, there are risks that could stagnate the economy, including the impact prolonged increases in the cost of living are having on consumer sentiment and increasing geopolitical risks such as the situation in the Middle East. Due to these risks, it will be important that we continue to pay close attention to financial markets as well as foreign currency and interest rate trends.<\/p>

Amid such an environment, our Group use the 100th anniversary of our founding as an opportunity to reaffirm our founding spirit of Kendo Kenmin (\u201cA Healthy Earth Ensures Human Health\u201d) as our Purpose and Commitment expressed through our Corporate Philosophy. We also adopted a new corporate slogan: \u201cLove Earth. Love Life.\u201d This slogan represents our deep resolve to realize a society where people and nature thrive in harmony.
As a milestone on our way to the next 100 years, we also outlined our Future Vision 2050, which depicts our view of an ideal society in 2050. We then formulated and launched Next Design 2030 as our New Business Plan towards the realization of this Vision.<\/p>

This plan positions drastically transforming Megmilk Snow Brand\u2019s assets as a strategic pillar. We will concentrate management resources on core domains such as cheese and yogurt, which are growth markets and have high profitability, as well as on domains such as functional ingredients, where we will look to promote growth. A part of this strategy will be large-scale capital investments in the Nakashibetsu Plant in Hokkaido and the Ami Plant in Ibaraki Prefecture. These facilities are scheduled to launch operations in the first half of FY2028. Looking at functional products, the product line centered on MBP, our proprietary high-added-value ingredient, continues to record growth. We will accelerate business so that we can provide the benefits of these products to overseas markets throughout Asia, which share the common issue of population aging. To achieve food sustainability, we will continue to apply the knowledge and resilience we have cultivated through milk to serve as an orchestrator leading our industry by developing new markets and creating new value.<\/p>

In December 2025, we relocated our Tokyo Head Office. Through this relocation, our Group will expand our reach worldwide from this new location, which will serve as a base for our second founding as we look ahead to our next 100 years. In this new environment, we will establish a more efficient and effective operating structure to further increase the quality and speed of our transformation. Every executive and employee of the Megmilk Snow Brand Group is embracing a renewed commitment to achieving new value creation.
